Re: BH was reincarnated

I knew he was BH by his question for Catholics in New Paths. I nearly responded, "that you, BH?" But decided to check welcome forum first.

And I was right, lol.

This is not the approved coC reply to such a question. You were supposed to deny saying or thinking that and then change the subject. You have obviously been out of the Lawrd's Church too long; you are forgetting your form.
Oooh, you're good, Zeek. You should be an elder. ;)

Re: I'm back!

Welcome! And I'm trying to figure out what your username could possibly mean, lol. Um, any clues? I wasn't on the board when you joined. I was unable to get back into my old acct after a few weeks/months(?) away. So maybe you said then. But I'd love to hear it.

Re: Religion vs Spirituality

Along the lines of what Agricola was saying...there is religion with spirituality. Just because one is religious does not mean one is or must be devoid of spirituality. ;) And for many persons, it is hard to develop or maintain their spirituality when they are not connecting in some way with other s...

Re: Catholicism - feel free to ask

I am Catholic also. I was first astonished at the thought of a loving God. What an amazing concept. The priest that led my classes for conversion was very open minded, said you don't have to believe everything the church teaches. They also accepted my C of C baptism. Right! Of course, they would li...

Re: CofC is Like ISIS/Terrorism

I get what you're saying, ena. And I never had to live in an area that had a strong COC presence. I also don't have any family now that is still COC. It was harder on my childhood friend who was disfellowshipped and stayed in that town where she would run into CoCers on a reg basis. I left town and ...

Re: CofC is Like ISIS/Terrorism

At least CoCers don't cut off your head if you don't convert. They might annoy the hell out of you or shun you til you die but...they let you live and for the most part leave you alone.

Ask about Catholicism

Catholic and loving it. Like Methodism it helps get me out of my head. What you do, how you live each day - very important. Belief is important, too. But Catholicism heavily stresses that if you have faith then you will also have good works. Also, it is a very beautiful expression of Christianity th...
