Finally out!
I was active on this forum years ago. Just logged in and it says the last time I was here was in 2017, so it's been a while. :) This past September my wife and kids finally left the legalistic CoC. Took long enough, lol. Anyway, I made a video sharing a bit of our journey and my thoughts on all this...

God Gave Wine
I know there's more I'm not remembering, so help me out here. Though the frequent use of it and excessive drunkenness and addiction are spoken against in the Bible, there are many places where a little wine is encouraged, or at least ok. Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to those w...

Re: woman preacher in a coc
Patrick said this about the comments being disabled:
I suggested to Wineskins that they do so. I was concerned for the reputation of Jesus, Christians, and the Church of Christ as well as concerned that young women would read them and decide there was no place for them here.

Re: woman preacher in a coc
Patrick Mead just posted the following on Facebook: I shouldn't say this...but I will. Wineskins posted a video on YouTube about my preaching intern (a female) and I at Fourth Avenue Church of Christ. Most who are reposting it on Facebook are very kind and supportive but the comments on YouTube itse...
