It's interesting to see how many don't make the cut. I see quite a few in CA not listed. I wonder if it has to do with them all not associating with each other. I don't really see a list of criteria used, other than "NICOC". I wonder if it's by application only?

Welcome! You're not alone. It's hard to make someone who's stuck in that mindset understand where you're coming from, but hang in there! Read some of the other experiences on the board and ask questions. You're among friends here

So true. I got in a discussion with someone who said that a married couple shouldn't even dance in their own house. Ummmm, yeah. Logic went right out the window on that one!

I always liked It is Well With My Soul. The congregation I grew up in had some flat out awesome singers, and it didn't drag like I've heard elsewhere.

Fear is what drives every decision the coc members make. They have been told all their lives that their salvation is dependent upon how well they follow the rules, and they better be sure what the rules are. They can't afford to be wrong about the rules, because then they might be living in a sinful...
