Re: We are the only way and there is no other way
ok, not actually or literally illiterate. But in practical terms they did not apply themselves to the language, study, or communication. Often they are good'ol country boys and have lots of stories about growing up on some farm or fishing. Seemingly they took up preaching as a way to get instant sta...

Re: We are the only way and there is no other way
At some cofc places I know, the speakers were pretty close to illiterate and had no notion of critical thinking, logical argument, or skills in presentation of an argument. Yet it seems that these places talked the most about the need for attending all assembly and the need for constant Bible study ...

Re: Are There More Words Besides "Ludicrous" or "Absurd"?
Because Messianic 'Jews' make ownership claims to Judaism, klp. They appropriate the outer forms and take on the outer appearance of 'Judaism' in order to deceive. They 'practice to deceive' and deny actual Judaism any reality, attempting to blur it out of existence. That's really rude, not to ment...

Bogus July 27, 2016 Trump Blaming Debunked
The New York Times assertion that: 1. Trump invited the Russians to hack into Hillary's unsecure private server that handed classified documents while she was Sec of State. 2. And that Russians acted within hours Is bogus. It is worse than fake news (which gives everyone the vapors) because this sto...

Re: July 27, 2016
On this day, Trump asked the Russians to find Hillary’s emails. The Russians acted within hours of this. This was just a couple weeks after Trump Jr. and others met with Russian agents in Trump Tower—the meeting about “adoptions”. Oh really, I had not heard this. So we now know it was the Russians ...

Re: A Good Old-Fashioned Book Burning
Only when I was very young did I think having a fluency in KOINE Greek was what I needed to be truly inline and pleasing to God. But yes, I enjoyed listening to those with a good educational background and capable minds. I came to the view and understanding that the Gospel just wasn't that complicat...

Re: Holy Spirit IS the Bible
Regarding the current activities of the Spirit: Romans 8:26-27 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. 27 And God, who searches the heart, knows wh...

Re: Holy Spirit IS the Bible
From the scripture itself it sure seems the Spirit is less active or more retiring in terms of doing stuff. Not less of a part of the Godhead, but just less extroverted or something. Is the Spirit ever recorded or promised to be speaking or instructing new information about the Church or Salvation? ...
