I remember at least one preacher in the church I attended as a child used to tell stories about people dying in hospitals wanting to be baptized. Often they had a bathtub big enough for this and sometimes even had to hold their hands over the tracheostomy tube/tracheostomy to perform the immersion....

In every NICOC I attended, women were allowed to comment in Bible class. This was true in both teen and adult classes.

I don’t cuss, since I was COC too long to develop the habit. But I recognize several Spanish cuss words just because so many people in my area speak Spanish.

Welcome! I can’t imagine how difficult it was to keep preaching when you were mentally through with the COC. As a woman, I never had my career attached to my COC religion. I was fortunate that my husband and I got ready to leave around the same time.
