This is not a “natural” remedy, but it is an option. Neurosurgeons can implant a brain stimulator that is effective against Parkinsons tremors. (I admit to some bias since my son is a neurosurgeon and performed these surgeries during residency, although these are not his current specialty.)

Re: Leaving CoC

Taylor, When I left, I got a lot of pressure from family members. I found that they DID stop eventually. I think they felt compelled to try to secure their own place in heaven. Once they had tried, they dropped the subject, knowing it was not their fault if I go to hell.
Best wishes,

Re: Religious Narcissism

You people will not watch a 15 minute video but you will read a book? Who are you people, and what planet did you come from? :? You just want to know the highlights, well, DUH, that's the point of a short video. You can read Ehrman's books or you can watch his video. The video tells you eve...

Re: c of C doctrines and beliefs I didn't agree with

I disagreed on the COC’s teachings on evolution. I studied enough biology to understand the scientific evidence for evolution. I kept my mouth shut about this topic for many years. And Moogy does not often keep her mouth shut on any topic.

Re: How did you get into the church of Christ? SURVEY

I grew up Methodist, and as an adult I didn't agree with some of the teachings in my church vs. what the Bible said, so I went searching online. Found a message board with multiple denominations debating one another, and I joined in. Connected one-on-one with a coc'er who eventually got me in touch...

Re: Rebooting

What a relief it is to see you here! I was afraid you might have gotten very sick or even died. I read one of the books you recommended and posted a little review. When you never responded I began to worry. I will find the thread and bump it so you can find it more easily. Let’s kill the fatte...

Re: Shunned and ostracized in GA

Welcome to the board. I am so grateful that I left the COC before having any children.

I hope you can get your kids back soon. You have good visitation rights, I hope?

Re: Left the CoC 3 years ago

The COC did provide a very close friendship group for me. It wasn’t real, of course, since it fell apart after I left their church. That is one thing I miss about my old COC, but it is certainly not enough to draw me back to the fold. I live in a very small community now, and one reason I go to chur...
