Re: Hello everyone

I am glad the board has helped you. Your story is so sad, but unfortunately not uncommon for those who have left the COC. Welcome to our site. We understand, and we care.

Welcome to the board. What a miserable time for you. Was your ex a faithful COCer?

Re: Incomplete

If you guys want to diss the coc, take it to 'how the coc impacted my life'. Re: Lingering doubts

It may be reassuring to you to know that, through the years of this website's existence, this question has come up from time to time by new posters. You're in very good company. It's a very normal fear and worry for many people, and the truth is that the fear and worry DO go away in time. AtPeace i...

Re: http://findthechurch.com

If Rickey Jenkins preached at one congregation, it has to be the more conservative one, and therefore the "faithful, true NICOC" ! I love Rickey (he's a cousin), but he sticks hard and fast to the NI doctrine of my youth. He also preached me and half the audience into hell at my grandmothe...

Re: Survey: How old were you when you left the COC?

We left between finishing our formal education and children. But since we were slow, that put us into our 30s. I am grateful I left before having a child. Said child is probably grateful also.

Re: That Time of Year Again...

I guess I was lucky to be in the NICOC. There were fewer congregations nearby, so fewer gospel meetings to visit! :D
