I am going to revert to the theory that i find most logical, which is that I am a brain in a vat in some scientific lab. The entirety of the universe, including all of you, is just a bad dream. I have no way of knowing what the universe really is.

And yet sleeping during services seems to be allowed and almost accepted within the coc. Never, ever made sense to me. Just be there in person I guess---check the box.... Where's the scriptural authorization for that? Looks like there is a guy sleeping behind Jon in the video during service in one ...

I think the COC frequently uses mind-numbing techniques. At least I always found the sermons and the LENGTHY prayers to be mind-numbing.

KLP, I think I understand your feeling of not fitting in anywhere, church-wise. I have had the same thought much of the time since my departure from the COC. Sometimes I just need a place like "Cheers" where "everybody knows your name." But I don't drink, so I don't imagine a bar...
