Have y'all ever looked at "modest swimwear", or "modest clothing" on Google? They have clothing now that the cofc in our past would have completely loved. We really didn't have anything back then to wear. I never learned to swim because of the "modest swimming" thing.....

The way I remember it, women could speak in Bible Class, but not during the assembly for worship. And they couldn’t lead a Bible Class if there was a man present.

I grew up anti and I was familiar with the other small splinter groups. My sister went to a no-classes church for a while, because it was the only COC in that small town. Later, her family moved to a mainline COC. A few years ago, she and her husband made the big jump to the Disciples of Christ.

Many COCs are very strict about divorce and remarriage. What a shame—they run off so many good people.
