Re: Praying for Trump?

I want the President to do what is best for our country, any president. There have been plenty of accounts of people wishing the worst for President Trump, from illness to death to ill will towards his young child to personal loss of loved ones and on and on. Maybe that has had an impact on his char...

Re: Female COC preacher

What exactly counts as an "abundance of verifiable evidence" for UFOs ? Just curious where I can go verify this?

Re: Female COC preacher

BH, again, while I am sure you are proud of yourself and thinking you have made a point, the point is about the inconsistency of deeming as acceptable (or not) when there is "only" witness testimony or reasoned argument. It is not about the concept of witness testimony itself. Thank you fo...

Re: Female COC preacher

UFO's are OK because we have the testimony of people who think/claim to have witnessed them but there is no physical evidence nor is it reproducible. Evolution from pond sludge to humans is OK because of reasoned arguments however there is no eye-witness nor is it reproducible. But somehow it is log...

Re: Survey: Have you ever washed communion cups?

yes, it was awesome to finally get old enough to be able to handle the little glass cups. And then set them all in perfectly spaced rows on a towel for drying. One place even had a chart posted on the wall about how many and where cups were to be loaded in the trays. And woe to the one that did not ...

Re: Getting Rid of a Piano

Post a message at a music store that teaches piano or look for private lesson piano teachers and let them know you have one that needs a new home. That might cut down on the fear factor of strangers. At least the person has a connection to some music teacher and someone else has met them.

Re: The Mass Shooting Epidemic...how do we stop it?

If we are really interested in finding real solutions it seems obvious to me at least that there has to be balance, perspective, and questioning of all presumptions. Why would anyone not want these aspects to a discussion looking for real solutions? If those are lacking then there is no real dialogu...

Re: The Mass Shooting Epidemic...how do we stop it?

Rand survey and articles show that Gun policies have no significant impact on "mass" shootings. h**ps://www.rand.org/research/gun-policy/analysis/mass-shootings.html I point this out to support my point that the mentality of "we have to do something" is as dangerous as it is inef...

Re: The Mass Shooting Epidemic...how do we stop it?

No single magic trick will stop all shootings. But that does not mean we should throw up our hands and do nothing at all, simply because whatever we do, will not stop EVERYTHING. Mass shooting numbers dropped significantly when automatic-type weapons were banned, and jumped significantly when the b...

Re: The Mass Shooting Epidemic...how do we stop it?

I don't agree with you But this is an agreement only forum. That means you need to agree with me as the OP. :D We'll have to agree to disagree on this topic. I did agree, in fact my first words were "I agree mass shootings are bad" and then I went on to add that "I don't know that it...
