We got harassed for a year or so and then poof, all it took was a letter from me using what sounded to them like "lawsuit" language and that it proved I was such an evil person that I would take the Lord's church to court. So terms like "harassment" and "cease and desist" were the buzz words that made it stop. I think it also gave them an excuse to stop. I really think they had no good way to say "it is over" and so they kept mentioning me in bulletins, letters, and online sermons...I really think they did not know how to stop since the Bible does not say when you can stop railing against false teachers. And so it just seemed like that letter from me let them have "proof" finally to demonize me to some sufficient amount that they then felt in the clear to drop the matter and move on to the next people to harass.
Isn't the world wonderful...I am all for rational optimism and I am staying positive.
