History is the fiction we invent to persuade ourselves that events are knowable and that life has order and direction. That's why events are always reinterpreted when values change. We need new versions of history to allow for our current prejudices.

Thank you everybody for such a warm welcome. Ive been looking through the website and it has given me so much relief.I felt as if I was going to have a breakdown. I was feeling really afraid. This helps a lot.
