Think long and hard before you say anything. I told everybody about my liberal church, and it pretty much ended up polarizing everyone and costing me all my old friends. Then I came out as an atheist. Now my 3-year-old daughter doesn't get to visit with her grandparents and the vast majority of my family has decided that they can't have anything to do with us.
Having said that, given the choice, I would publicly embrace my atheism again every single time. Just understand that there is a high price.
