Another c of C gone liberal

My daughter pointed out to me a family, were we friends with in the c of C, has gone liberal. Their son is married with 4 children now and is an elder at our old c of C that has more than a thousand members.
All of his kids attend a large private Baptist school. His oldest son starts college this year and is going to a Baptist University, but his dad is a c of C Elder. I served as a deacon there for several years and that situation would never have been tolerated. He would have had to resign as an Elder.
