a) all non-Christians, whether they'd ever heard 'the gospel' or not.
b) all Roman Catholics.
c) 99% of people in 'the denominations' (there was a special though reluctant allowance that there just MIGHT be a few truly special people in 'the denominations that might possibly be saved regardless of their unfortunate attendance at the wrong place).
d) maybe 50 to 70% or so of people in a coc (as in, we are the only ones with the truth and we will be saved but not even all of US!)
Hell was going to be extremely overcrowded, and everyone in Heaven would have their own private mansion, apparently.

Denominations are an artifact of Church history. They are not evil but part of a revolution against control by the Catholic Church which had many levels of corruption at that time. They are as variable as is mankind. Martin Luther was trying to get the Church to correct itself from within. It does have unique beliefs and icons like statues. You might notice an empty cross in most denominations and a crucifix in the Catholic that depicts the body of Jesus. The empty cross signifies he has risen. There are former Catholic Church buildings in England that have damaged icons embedded the walls. The revolution was violent with icons being destroyed because some saw them as idolatrous. There is an excellent blog on the history of the Church of Christ on the outside of this board. Even the Church of Christ has roots in the Presbyterian and Baptist Faiths as I see it. I thought all Catholics were going to Hell until I ran into a Catholic that was more Christian than I was. In fact the Catholic Church does a better job at Charity than most other Churches. I personally don't agree that any one human should be in control because that makes for a single point of failure. I don't buy the augment for a Pope or the continuity of a papal line from Peter. I think the CoC is right about local control. Things get more ghosty as you look into the past. As far as Heaven and Hell I expect to be surprised. I don't think anyone can really know. Many have tried and failed so far.

Of course not. Presbyterians have synods and Baptists call their preachers "reverend".

Don't they mostly call them "Brother So-and-So"? So out of touch with all that.B.H. wrote:

It WAS "Reverend Billy Graham" I think.
