24 hour and longer prayer sessions

A place to snark and vent about CoC doctrine and/or our experiences in the CoC. This is a place for SUPPORT and AGREEMENT only, not a place to tell someone their experience and feelings are wrong, or why we disagree with them.

But back to what you said about the male members not being comfortable with praying publicly. My dad would never do it.
Did your family pray before eating? Mine only did it on some holidays and when guests were over for a meal. I always took it as one of those things we did for the benefit of others; keeping up appearances.

My dad always said a prayer before family meals. He didn't do so if we were in a restaurant like some people.I have seen.

I agree with Shane about it being for keeping up appearances. It don’t see how it is really necessary to pray before every meal.
