Tattle Tales

A place to snark and vent about CoC doctrine and/or our experiences in the CoC. This is a place for SUPPORT and AGREEMENT only, not a place to tell someone their experience and feelings are wrong, or why we disagree with them.

Pretty much true through out a capitalistic society. They periodically blow up. The problem is honesty and fairness. Once that goes everything goes. We are are approaching the end game. Most likely the dollar will become worthless. It happened with the Continental Dollar and Confederate Currency. We have a fiat currency. Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971. I am not blaming him as he had no choice. The costs of the Vietnam war devalued the dollar so much that investors would line up to purchase US gold for $32 an ounce. Give away prices. China heavily invests in the US. Trump is fighting with the trade deficit with China. Once they pull funds out. We collapse. Dangerous game. You can bet or opt out. There is more than one way to play the game. The Chinese are very shewd. Trump is not. He grew up throwing money at problems. The Chinese are natural Capitalists. I believe than China and Africa are on the ascendant path economically. Africa has been held down by colonial powers. It has tremendous resources. With the election of Trump we are going backwards. Comey said it best in his book. Google youtube Comey.
Agreed. The tragically sad part is that the American people did it to themselves. The toxicity now has taken on such a malignant spiral toward totalitarianism that the scene awaits someone who still has some power to somehow stop it. The question is, ISTM, whether there will be such a someone left or whether the ultimate actor turns out to be a most unwelcomed entity such as the military. Now even Paul Ryan is heading for the hills.

Geez. I didn't intend this to be a political thread.

Back on track--my friend told me has confronted one of the tattlers, who seemed both shocked and offended that my friend figured him out (which wasn't hard to do), and suggested he knock it off.

Last week, when Lipscomb University was in the NCAA basketball tournament, some volunteers were in the building where he works. One of them, an older woman, started talking about the game, and he mentioned that while he was a UNC fan, it didn't matter who won. She started saying, "But, it's LIPSCOMB!" He mentioned he didn't go there, and was glad he went where he did.

The following day, he was called into his supervisor's office and told he mustn't say things like that about Lipscomb. The old woman tattled to someone, who told him, resulting in the talking-to. Old biddies, tattling like schoolchildren, is absurd.

I hate when that happens, but I've seen it go on in the workplace too. I always tell people, talk to the person you have a problem with first. Don't go behind their back. It's sad all this happened over a stupid basketball game?

The problem is that the checks and balances in our government are being disabled in many places. The Supreme Court was stacked with a conservative lead 5 to 4 after Scalia died. That was rather obvious. Isis is fighting with US equipment some from Iraq and some that was given to Syrians. The Stupidity in American intelligence is legendary. The lack of a coherent message from the Democrats obvious. The 2016 election was the first I not could vote for Hillary or Trump. I have not voted Republican since W ran the second time. I was aware of class warfare being conducted by Republicans. I consider both outside of normal in comment or action. Trump is guilty of fraud for Trump University IMO. Hillary is guilty of not handling secured documents appropriately. There are people serving time for the same stuff. Most Americans don't know this because so much is done covertly. Hoping that Trump will split the Republicans into two third parties. The Dems are split between the socialists and moderates. 2020 will get interesting. I like to quip that the Mexicans's will build a wall to keep American's out. LOL

You noticed Paul Ryan is leaving. He is not the only Republican fleeing. Trump does not get along with employees well. I've worked with bosses that are sociopathic more than once. It's more common than you might believe. Americans that travel internationally are being asked by foreigners: "Why Trump." As I understand it Trump is worried about a pee tape. Bill Clinton was embarrassed about a BJ. Waiting for a Trump pee tape. The Russians may have one. LOL.
